This Privacy Policy explains how CapyDo (“the App”) handles your personal data.
CapyDo is operated by Camille Le Lan-Toson, located in France.
For any privacy-related question, you can contact us at:

CapyDo is an iOS task management app designed to help you focus on one task at a time.
The App is designed to be local-first. It does not require an account, login, or personal backend server operated by us.
Most of your data stays on your device or within Apple services such as Apple Reminders and iCloud, depending on your own Apple settings.
CapyDo uses Apple Reminders through EventKit to read, create, update, and manage tasks.
Your tasks are stored by Apple Reminders and may be synced through iCloud depending on your Apple account settings.
We do not operate a server that stores your tasks.
Uninstalling CapyDo removes local App data from your device, but reminders stored in Apple Reminders or iCloud may remain available in Apple Reminders until you delete them there.
Some App preferences are stored locally on your device, including settings related to the App experience.
These preferences may include display settings, widget settings, onboarding state, or other local configuration values.
The App may schedule local notifications to remind you of your tasks.
These notifications are generated locally on your device. We do not use server-side push notifications.
The App may request access to your photo library only when you manually choose a background image for the widget.
The selected image is resized locally, up to a maximum size of 800 pixels, compressed as JPEG, encoded in base64, and stored in the App’s shared container (App Group) so that the widget can display it.
No image is transmitted to a server. The App does not keep continuous access to your photo library between selections. It does not scan, index, or re-read your photo library.
On iOS 14 and later, the App supports limited photo library access.
The App may request the following iOS permissions.
Used to read and write tasks through Apple Reminders.
Used to schedule local reminders on your device.
Used only when you manually choose a widget background image.
The photo library access is read-only and used only for the image you select.
The App may use third-party services to operate, improve, and maintain the App.
These services may process technical information such as your device type, operating system version, App version, crash logs, usage events, subscription status, transaction identifiers, pseudonymous identifiers, and IP address.
We do not intentionally send your task content or widget images to these third-party services.
PostHog may be used for analytics, such as understanding how the App is used and improving the user experience.
Analytics data may include technical information such as device type, App version, operating system version, usage events, and general interaction data.
Sentry may be used for crash reporting and error monitoring.
Crash reports may include technical information such as device type, App version, operating system version, stack traces, and diagnostic information needed to understand and fix bugs.
RevenueCat is used to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases.
RevenueCat may process information related to your subscription status, purchase history, App Store transaction identifiers, and related technical data.
Payments and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store.
We do not process your payment card details. Apple handles payment processing according to its own terms and privacy policy.
CapyDo does not require you to create an account.
We do not collect:

Because the App is local-first, most App data can be deleted directly from your device by deleting tasks, changing App settings, deleting related Apple Reminders, or uninstalling the App.
For data processed by third-party services such as PostHog, Sentry, or RevenueCat, you may contact us and we will assist with your request where technically possible.
CapyDo is not intended for children under the age of 15, which is the age threshold retained by France under Article 8 of the GDPR.
The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age.
If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at:

Some third-party service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.
Where applicable, such transfers are handled using appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed through the App.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means that you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
